Jezera is a village with harbour in the cove bearing the same name on the north-eastern coast of the island of Murter. It is a small town of fishermen, agriculturists, sailors that has recently become a place of excellent experts in tourism and catering. The town is in the southeast of Murter, the biggest island in the archipelago of the region. The island Murter is connected with the land by a bridge 30 meters long at the place Tisno.

"Jezera” (English “Lakes”) was named after numerous pools and puddles which appear in karst valleys during heavy rainfall. However, in the summer months tourists do not think about rainfall because Jezera offers a lot of sunshine, clear seawater and the nice cove with a beautiful beach. Fresh fish and other seafood are offered daily.

The island is surrounded by the unique beauty of the sea, islands and bays. Two of the most beautiful and largest national parks in Europe, the Kornati Islands and the Krka waterfalls, are nearby. From Jereza, there are numerous opportunities for excursions on land or by boats. Jezera is well-known also for the charter of boats for the "Big Game Fishing." During the autumn months, there are major competitions. A metre tuna fish is not uncommon. In the evening start large festivals, where all the fishes are grilled and eaten up. In the summer months are sailing courses held.
